aperto: il wiki The net literature Neterature Manifesto |
What is neteraturewriting to meet. meeting to write.neterature (net literature) is a project of collective creation of a hypertext whose main goal is generating a new form of "net" literature and "in the net" literature, what we call neterature. It is made up of 2 ranges of texts: short stories (1000/2000 words) by each author and the correspondences between the authors of the linked stories. Stories can be "carried on" (or began) by anyone via an innovative, specific selection process whose aim is realising the neterature and, through this, facilitating interpersonal relations founded on literary artistic creativity. Charachters (and their events) are indipendent one from another as, for example, a city inhabitants are; but as a counterbalance to this objective indipendence, there is the subjective upload (or net publishing), This is operated through a linking system. This mechanism (selection process and linking) is managed by the authors themselves. It is, then, a creative act, it is not merely instrumental. It is the object of the authors' creation and readers' experience. Neterature's selection process allows to generate and experience a technologically and culturally up to date literature primarily made up of the texts that propose or justify the lnks between one story and and the other and then by the more traditional literary texts (the stories) connected one another in a collective hypertext. This expressive material (that we could call of the relation) represents a level of writing/reading completely different from the traditional ones and, in our view, truly bearer of meaning and value. Neterature's selection process allows to: 1 - Writing to meet.promote interpersonal relaitons founded on literary artistic creativity, as it is likely that, at least from some of these contacts, correspondences, discussions, exchanges of opinions and sharing of experiences are generated, sparked and facilitated by the info from the submission form; it is essential that the connecting ground is literature, generated by the artistic activity of the participants. It is, in fact, the territory of deepest belonging one can find: that which is originated from one's own creation. This is where authors meet and find themselves. Here they step in the game via the artwork that represents them.2 - implement a selection methodology capable of: Neterature realises also another fundamental innovation that derives straightly from the technology and spirit of the net: swapping the editor (who traditionally chooses what to make public) with the writer, or, better, the authors. As a matter of fact, it is just by the authors' collaboration that the applicant's work is made public. Neterature's features and aims can be synthetized by the definition responsible participation. |
